The initiative 'Sydney arbitral advantage' was launched in mid 2003 to promote Sydney as an arbitral venue and to encourage parties to consider choosing it as a venue or seat for their arbitration. 

Sydney is a prime venue for international arbitrations.  The availability of a proactive legal environment, institutional support and specialised legal advice on international arbitration are just some reasons to consider Sydney as the seat or venue for arbitration proceedings.

In addition, Sydney has a significant cost advantage compared to other popular venues such as London, New York, Hong Kong or Paris.
